Community-based agency dedicated to the long-term support of people affected by aphasia * supports people who have aphasia due to sudden onset (i.e., stroke) or a gradual onset (i.e. Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA)) Speech-language pathologists (SLP), social workers (MSW) and communicative disorders assistants (CDA) provide programs to help people adjust to living with aphasia and to be active participants in the community Services:

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: | Individuals 18 years and older with aphasia as a result of stroke or other acquired brain injury or a person with primary progressive aphasia due to a neurodegenerative disease, and their families | ||
Application: | Referrals accepted by a speech-language pathologist, a social worker or other qualified health professional * Self referral also accepted by person with aphasia, family member or friend | ||
